The firm is headed by Marilyn Labrada Dumé. Ms. Dumé graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1986 where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in International Relations and minors in Economics and French. Ms. Dumé began her legal career at Columbia Law School where she developed a passion for immigration law while participating at Columbia's immigration clinic. Ms. Dumé earned her Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School in 1989. Her areas of practice include immigration and family law. She has successfully represented thousands of immigration clients worldwide and has earned respect as one of the most reputable immigration attorneys. Ms. Dumé travels extensively to represent clients before the immigration courts nationwide. She is fluent in English and Spanish and proficient in French. Ms. Dumé is admitted to the New Jersey State Bar. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers' Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.
Jillian Mariel Dumé is an attorney and the managing partner of the New York office. Ms. Dumé is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a minor in French Studies. Ms. Dumé received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law. Ms. Dumé is admitted to the New York and New Jersey Bars. In the past, Ms. Dumé interned and worked at both another immigration law firm and at a franchise, real estate and commercial litigation firm. She is fluent in English and Spanish and proficient in French. Ms. Dumé's practice is dedicated to all aspects of immigration law with a focus on investor and extraordinary ability visas. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers' Association (AILA) and the New York State Bar Association.

Victor Dumé is the financial manager at Labrada Dumé & Associates. He manages the firm's accounting and client billing services. Mr. Dumé earned a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Finance and Accounting from Universidad Dominicana O&M in 1980. He has over 35 years of business administration experience where he has served as General Manager and has held several executive board positions.

Adriana Camacho has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers’ University where she majored both in political science and criminal justice. She also earned a Paralegal Studies Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Ms. Camacho works as a highly versatile paralegal in both employment based and family-based immigration matters. Ms. Camacho is experienced in the preparation of H1-B visas and EB-5 investor visas. She also assists in the preparation of asylum, cancellation of removal applications and a variety of motions before the immigration court. Ms. Camacho is fluent in English and Spanish.
Elibany Valerio joined the firm in October 2005. She graduated with honors from Kingsboro College in Brooklyn, New York with an Associate's Degree in Legal Administration. Ms. Valerio earned a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from John Jay School of Criminal Justice. She also obtained a Paralegal Certificate from CUNY's School of Professional Studies where she took specialized courses in Family Law, Labor Certifications, and Removal Proceedings. Ms. Valerio works as a senior paralegal primarily in family-based matters and detainee cases. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Evelyn Martinez is a Jersey City native who joined Labrada Dumé & Associates in July 2003. Ms. Martinez is a senior paralegal with about 37 years of experience. She graduated with honors from the School of Executive Secretaries in Newark, New Jersey. Ms. Martinez began her career as a paralegal working side by side with current Hudson County judge, Hector R. Velazquez, where she prepared negligence cases and successfully assisted in winning several civil suits. She has worked for numerous law firms gaining experience in matrimonial law, worker's compensation law, and real estate and collections. Ms. Martinez's currently works primarily on divorce cases and child custody matters. She also assists in the preparation of motions to reopen and appeals in immigration law cases. Ms. Martinez is fluent in English and Spanish
Heidy Gomez earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Universidad Del Caribe (UNICARIBE). Ms. Gomez works primarily on family-based immigration matters. Ms. Gomez also assists in the preparation of asylum, cancellation of removal applications, and VAWA Self-Petitioning Spouse of a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident. In addition, she prepares employment authorization applications, applications for advance parole, and assists in the preparation of a wide-range of requests for evidence. Finally, Ms. Gomez handles billing activities for the North Bergen office. Ms. Gomez is fluent in English and Spanish.
Andrew Montoya will be graduating from Montclair State University in January 2019 with a major in Justice Studies with a Double Concentration in Justice Systems and Paralegal Studies and a Minor in Sociology. Mr. Montoya will also be receiving a Paralegal Certificate. He works primarily on employment authorization documents and family-based petitions. He has interned at the NJ State Parole Board and has taken significant course work on law enforcement.
Rosalie Luciano works primarily on family-based petitions and consular processing matters. Ms. Luciano has an Associate of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Passaic County Community College. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Legal Studies at William Paterson University. Ms. Luciano also assists in the preparation of I-601A Waivers. She previously acquired experience as a legal assistant in Immigration, Family, Real Estate, and Criminal law matters.
Education and Certification: I graduated High School and attended Hudson County Community College for Business, but did not get to graduate. I am a Notary Public. Employment: I currently work at Labrada Dume as a Front Desk Receptionist. I have previously worked as a Front Desk Agent and have over three years of experience in bookkeeping. At Labrada Dume & Associates, I am the client's first impression of the firm as I am the first to greet them either in person or over the phone (along with the rest of my front desk team) so I take leaving a good first impression very seriously.
Robert Pawlick graduated from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University, with a Bachelor's in International Politics. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham Law School in May 2017. Mr. Pawlick successfully passed the New York bar and is pending admission to both the New York and New Jersey state bars. Mr. Pawlick works primarily on investor and employment based visas, including EB-5, E-2, O and P visa petitions.
Elissa Rivera received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing with a minor in Business Law and Ethics at the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University. Ms. Rivera then attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree in May of 2018. Ms. Rivera began her career in immigration law as a student in Cardozo's Kathryn O. Greenberg Immigration Justice Clinic during her second and third year. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Jessica Montoya graduated Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Ms. Montoya then attended the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School where she received her Juris Doctor degree. While in law school Ms. Montoya was a legal intern at Journey’s End Refugee Services where she provided assistance in the legal representation of refugees, asylees, and immigrant clients. Ms. Montoya was also a participant of the Clinical Legal Education Program at the Women, Children, and Social Justice Clinic at SUNY Buffalo Law School. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Astha Sharma received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, concentration in Public Law with a minor in Sociology at the University at Buffalo. Ms. Sharma then attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree in May of 2018. Ms. Sharma began her career in immigration law as a student in Cardozo's Kathryn O. Greenberg Immigration Justice Clinic during her second and went to intern in other Non-Profit Organizations in New York City. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and Dogri.
Ms. Carballo is both a Rutgers University and Florida Coastal School of Law Alumna, who is New York barred. While at Rutgers, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a minor in Sociology. Ms. Carballo obtained her Juris Doctor degree as well as Criminal, International and Civil Litigation Law certification in 2017. She was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board in law school. Ms. Carballo previously procured trial practice experience. She is a native of Argentina with Spanish and English fluency, as well as elementary Italian language skills.
Karen De La Cruz has over nine years of experience in the practice of immigration law. Graduating with honors she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts and a Juris Doctor degree from Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law. While in law school she served as a Martin Luther King Jr. Fellow serving the indigent population of Philadelphia through the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network. Prior to joining Labrada Dume & Associates, Law Group, she worked as a supervising attorney for a small firm in New York City which focused on immigration and criminal law. She is admitted to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania State Bars. Ms. De La Cruz is a native of the Dominican Republic and fluent in the English and Spanish languages.
Tanaz Daruwala earned her Master of Laws (LL.M) in Taxation from New York Law School. She has a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree and a Bachelor of Commerce & Economics (BCom). While in law school she did her externship with the New York City Tax Appeal Tribunal. Ms. Daruwala is admitted to the New York State Bar. She is also a Member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa, India Ms. Daruwala is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi. Ms. Daruwala's practice is focused on employment-based immigration, primarily PERM labor certifications.
Jessica Marie Gonzalo attended The George Washington University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Political Science with minors in History and Sociology. During her time at The George Washington University, Ms. Gonzalo was a congressional intern on Capitol Hill for two years, first for Congressman Albio Sires from New Jersey and later for Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen from Florida. Ms. Gonzalo then attended New York Law School where she received her juris doctor degree in 2015. During her time at New York Law School, Ms. Gonzalo was a member of the Mediation Clinic, LALSA and a recipient of the Nunez Scholarship. Following law school Ms. Gonzalo was the Judicial law clerk to the Honorable Mark J. Nelson, J.S.C. at the Hudson County Superior Court. Ms. Gonzalo is currently admitted to the New Jersey State Bar as well as The U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Ms. Gonzalo is fluent in English and Spanish.
Stephanie M. Torres received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from New Jersey City University and earned a Juris Doctor degree at Suffolk University Law School in Boston, MA. During her time in law school, she interned at the Office of the Public Defender and was a Student Attorney at Suffolk University’s Immigration Law Clinic. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Regional Alliance of Student and Professionals where she organized and presented “Know Your Rights” seminars in Washington D.C., Jersey City, and Boston. She is admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Ms. Torres is fluent in English and Spanish.
Yanet Baez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with majors in Human Resources from The Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in Dominican Republic in 2005. Ms. Baez works to provide exceptional service to our clients by scheduling appointments, preparing employment authorization documents, sending important notices, and managing the calendar. She has over ten years of experience in personnel management in different companies. Ms. Baez also worked as a Human Resources Manager in the past.
Liz Vazquez is currently attending Bergen Community College for Event Planning. Ms. Vazquez takes great pride in efficiently and accurately taking care of document management, scheduling issues and client communication tasks. As a member of our Front Desk team, Ms. Vazquez uses her great interpersonal and organization skills to coordinate with clients and other team members to meet clients' needs in an effective and timely manner, which is of the utmost importance when the stakes are high.
Betty works as an Administrative Assistant at Labrada Dume & Associates. She ensures the smooth operation of the firm with her knowledge of law office management, efficient handling of the clients inquiries, consultations, and timely access to lawyer. Betty has more than 10 years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant. Prior to working in the legal field, she worked as a Billing Manager/Administrative Coordinator. She excelled at managing schedules and assisting patients. She has in-depth knowledge of of medical billing & collection. Ms. Melo is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Pratiksha Patel (Pat) is a Legal Assistant at Labrada Dumé & Associates. Pratiksha is a graduate of MS University of Baroda where she earned a Bachelor's degree in biology in 1993. Ms. Patel also obtained a Medical Assistant degree from the California Institute in 1996. Ms. Patel has over 18 years experience of working in major hospitals including her most current position at Englewood hospital. Ms. Patel's background in science and healthcare are instrumental in assisting Immigration Law clients best supplement a wide range of applications, waivers, and motions. Ms. Patel is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Urdu.
Luz Estrella is an Administrative Assistant at Labrada Dumé & Associates where she provides exceptional client service. She is committed to understanding each client's unique needs and working closely with them to achieve their objectives. Ms. Estrella assists in client relations and consular processing of family-based immigration matters. Ms. Estrella is fluent in English and Spanish.
Nidia Labrada obtained her Associates degree from Bergen Community College. Since joining the firm, she primarily handles our consular processing cases. She has extensive experience communicating with many consulates and scheduling our immigrant visa appointments on a regular basis. Ms. Labrada works closely with our clients in family-based petitions in order to help them achieve their family reunification objectives and obtain permanent residence.
Michael Perez is a paralegal who works primarily on employment authorization application and motion for detainee in custody proceedings. Michael Perez is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree fromMontclair State University. He is expected to graduate in the fall of 2019 with a major in Justice studies and a minor in Sociology. Michael is fluent in English and Spanish.
Stephanie Bello-Gálvez graduated from the Honors College at William Paterson University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as part of the Bio-psychology Honors Track and a minor in Japanese. Mrs. Bello-Gálvez was an immigrant rights advocate for many years and worked for a pro-bono immigrant rights and legal services organization in NYC before attending the University Of Dayton School Of Law 2-year J.D. Program. While in law school, Mrs. Bello-Gálvez was a legal intern at the Law School’s Immigration Clinic, where she provided assistancein the legal representation of asylees and immigrant clients. Mrs. Bello-Gálvez earned her Juris Doctor degree in May of 2019. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Sergio Ramirez earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Montclair State University in 2019. At Labrada Dume& Associates, Mr. Ramirez works to provide excellent support throughout the office by delivering best-in-class customer service, conceiving digital spreadsheets to manage inventory, filing important documents, and assisting in managing calendar.
Bet Pico works primarily on family-based petitions and consular processing matters. Ms. Pico has over seven years of experience in the immigration law field. Prior to joining our team Ms. Pico started off as a receptionist and worked her way to Supervising Senior Paralegal at a small firm in New York City which primarily focused on Immigration and Criminal Law.
Jessica Carolina Chicas is a native of Houston, Texas. Ms. Chicas received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. She also has a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Leadership and Management, as well as a Master of Social Work, and is a Licensed Social Worker in the State of New Jersey.
Ms. Chicas has a distinct ability to empathize with clients and understand the complexities they face in the United States as she is the daughter of two immigrant parents from El Salvador. In 2016, Ms. Chicas received a Juris Doctor degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas. While in law school, Ms. Chicas focused her studies in Immigration and Family Law.
Ms. Chicas is admitted to the New Jersey State bar. She has experience working on family-based immigration cases, asylums, cancellation of removals, adjustment of status, T-visas, U-visas, VAWA, and U.S. Naturalization cases. She also has experience preparing and filing motions to reopen and appeals before various immigration courts throughout the United States, and before the Board of Immigration Appeals. Ms. Chicas is fluent in English and Spanish, and has intermediate French language skills.
Sujey Sanchez graduated with high honors from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Jurisprudence. Ms. Sanchez then attended the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in Long Island, NY where she received her Juris Doctor degree. While in law school Ms. Sanchez was a summer legal intern at The Legal Aid Society - Immigration Law Unit where she provided pro bono assistance in the legal representation of immigrant clients. Ms. Sanchez also interned at the Newark Executive Office for Immigration Review - Department of Justice where she learned about issues of removability, asylum, and cancellation of removal decided before immigration judges. During her time in law school, Ms. Sanchez participated in the Immigration Law and Border Enforcement Program in San Diego, California. She has further procured trial expierence through Hofstra Law's E. David Woycik, Hr. Intensive Trial Techniques Program in 2018. Ms. Sanchez is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Melany Vazquez is currently attending Bergen Community College for political science. Ms. Vazquez’s patient nature assists clients in scheduling appointments and communicating with the attorney(s) legal assistants. She handles calls, organizes essential legal documents and notifies clients of updates in their cases. She believes that helping clients is an utmostpriority. Ms. Vazquez takes it upon herself to make clients feel satisfied and comfortable.Ms. Vazquez also provides case status to clients through written communication and assists in the preparation of court packs and also, is fluent in both English and Spanish.
